Plastic Lumber not stack Up
In my blog Daily Friday Watch, I, in conjunction with InvestorGeeks a letter to the fact that a case, Advanced Environmental Recycling Technologies AERT is a potential 10 shovels. AERT is a Small-Cap-enterprises, plastic and lumber - a composite material of recycled plastic polyethylene and waste wood fibers.
I have an interesting E-mail response Terry Foecke, analysts experienced research (see below on the past performance does not prejudge its featured I), specializes in investments for Minnesota greenspace money management company River Bridge. Foecke has a negative value to take part in the markets, but recommends another in their sector as an alternative. It expresses its readiness, allow me to share his analysis Times readers.
I wrote an article in last August Foecke in the management of green investing, I recommend that we give a deeper look on his point of view, very different from the usual “do no harm” green investing.
Here it is in AERT:
My principle of AERT is quite negative.
Plastic wood is not a direct substitute for wood. It is often more expensive, it has been a decline in module (curved lines and over) and can not be used as structural members (= no standards has no insurance - Bautischler would be crazy to use ). The application under this is limited to a better product available.
The content prepared in price increases, not only because of oil prices. China several sources of plastic waste here and users, there is no meanness sale inclusions. And the profitability of recycling materials teeters on the assumption that public policy is also to continue to subsidize the collection of things like high-density polyethylene (HDPE) bags and bottles of milk. Collection programs are already obliged by far the single stream (tri) materials. It is much easier to pull the piles of corpses and burn and these things in a High-End-incineration plant.
HDPE (poor) plastic bags are also forced out of Commerce. A growing number of countries prohibit (I think it’s escaped to South Africa requires that plastic bags trees floats the national bird) and even ask for more, taxes or other fees.
AERT how recycling is not avoid landfills, but only delayed. And once mixed plastic lumber, components, once the TAO had kitsch value.
I do not have criteria for the detection of potential 10-shovel, but in plastics, I am pleased bets on Landec LNDC of AERT. It is true, the solution of problems and facilitate the ecological progress.
